FAQs

Why does the bike have fat tyres, and what are they for?

The fat wheels and cross-tyres fitted to the bikes enable them to easily manage riding on a variety of surfaces. Primarily intended for road and dedicated cycle paths, the tyres offer great traction on snow, sand and other soft ground.

The size of the wheel/tyres help iron out the bumps and potholes. Tyre pressure is important and should not exceed 1 bar (approx. 15 psi). This helps cushion the ride making journeys more enjoyable.

Note that smooth running road tyres are available.
